Client Intelligence & Evidence Principles
What to expect from Redwood's research, reporting, and evidence support. The scope and depth of each engagement are shaped by your brand's priorities and the questions the evidence raises.
Purpose
Redwood provides brand intelligence, online monitoring, research, lead development, evidence support, and related brand-protection services. The objective is to identify, document, and organize relevant online activity so a client can evaluate informed next steps.
Scope
Work may include monitoring relevant online sources, identifying potentially significant sellers or commercial activity, developing intelligence leads, reviewing activity across multiple sources, documenting findings, supporting authorized test purchases, and delivering periodic or assignment-specific intelligence reporting.
Reporting discipline
Client intelligence may include source information, product or listing details, pricing or inventory where available, observation dates, supporting references, analyst observations, potential relationships, and recommended next steps.
Confirmed information must remain distinguishable from potential or suggested relationships.
Redwood does not characterize activity as confirmed counterfeit activity merely because a signal is suspicious. The available evidence must support the conclusion.
Evidence
Relevant work product can include intelligence leads, seller or entity profiles, monitoring summaries, test-purchase recommendations, supporting references, and client-ready intelligence summaries. Evidence should remain connected to its source and context.
Test purchases
Authorized test purchases can be used to answer a defined intelligence question and create additional physical evidence. Redwood may coordinate qualified third-party support where appropriate. Each purchase is scoped around the question to resolve and the evidence needed.
Client authority
Redwood provides intelligence and operational support. The client retains responsibility for determining whether to pursue enforcement, legal action, marketplace reporting, further investigation, or another action based on the information provided.
